OUR STORY
From the Soil of Jamaica to a Global Cinema Sanctuary
My vision for AfroPix wasn't born in a boardroom; it was shaped by six magical months spent on my family’s farm in rural Jamaica. Though I was born and raised in London, that time in the Caribbean transformed my understanding of the world. On the farm, I lived a life dictated by the elements—experiencing a world of profound natural beauty that lacked the same facilities we had at home.
That early contrast sparked a lifelong curiosity that led me to live and work globally—from the tech hubs of Hong Kong and China to the creative landscapes of Thailand, Australia, and Barbados.
Throughout my career directing and producing commercials and branded content across the globe, I saw the same recurring gap: the African and Caribbean narrative was being told by everyone except ourselves.
I am building AfroPix to close that gap.
We are not just a streaming service; we are a high-fidelity creative ecosystem. Alongside our library, AfroPix Studios operates as our in-house production house, specializing in cinematic documentaries and premium branded content for global clients looking to reach the African audience with authenticity.
Through our 10,000 Filmmakers Initiative, we are training the next generation of storytellers, ensuring that every frame we produce—whether for a documentary or a brand partner—is crafted with professional precision.
We are reclaiming the narrative, from the ground up.
